It seems I only update on a monthly basis... err... good. >.< Nothing ever happens anyway, it'd be boring if I remembered to update more often. >.<
Anyhoo... So, I've completed my nursing studies and got top grades and all, been to England to see my family and now I've been back to the pharmacy for work for over a week. My last week at the ICU was pretty busy so its depressiveness (is that even a word..? >.<) didn't get to me and the final ER week was alright too, not all that busy tho.
England: first we (Mir, Shin, Anima and I) went to Brighton to see my dad and Helen. Even Miru got along with my dad this time and didn't freak out over everything he said... Don't get me wrong, it's not like they don't get along always (that's Miru and my mum >.<) but Miru says my dad scares him. ^O^ The same goes for Ana, my sister, who with we spent few days in London. That I can understand since she scares even me and I've known her for my whole life! >O< Anyhoo, we had fun and at least Ani and Shin were really enjoying themselves. ^-^ Miru's been doing great too lately since he finally has his dosage on place and doesn't waver from manic to depressed six times a day like in the beginning of summer. ^-^ All is well.
As for work, I decided that my old job was the most suitable one for my needs for now. Since I have school and the kids and occasionally very needy partner, it's best if I get to design my own schedule. ^-^ Besides, I'll be starting my thesis this year so I need all the time I can get to be on my own, which isn't easy when there are kids around all the time. ^~^
Yu moved to Cambridge last weekend. He didn't want to stay on campus so he got a small studio apartment few blocks away. He even got to take Shiki (his dog who's been living with mum for now because he doesn't get along with our Sakura) so he won't be that lonely. ^-^ I'm really gonna miss having him around... It's so quiet! ^O^ Besides, for most of my life I've always had Yu around and he's my best friend so being apart is quite sad. Luckily, Cambridge isn't that far so we get to see each other often on weekends and holidays and such. ^-^ I'm such a girl! >.<
I have to get to bed now. I was only up anyway because I was waiting for Miru to get home from work and that was almost an hour ago. >.< So, g'nite!

6:16 am - All Work And No Play

Wow. I've been gone long. o.O Let's see... I started my internship as a nurse at the ER in the end of May. I was supposed to work there for two weeks but after the first week my dad was hospitalized so Mir and I flew to England. My dad has an inborn heart condition and since the stroke last year his heart hasn't been working all that well... V-V Anyway, he had some complications so he was put into hospital and they *finally* had a surgery to fix his heart. ^-^ So, now he's recovering and the prognosis looks really good. All is well again. ^-^
After I got back from UK, I went back to the internship and started my two weeks at the cancer ward. That was really hard... It's really depressing to see terminally ill people at the end of their life. V.V I hung out a lot with this kid who was barely 15 years old and had a couple of months left to live and he knew that but still he was able to make jokes and talk about girls and stuff like nothing was wrong. It was amazing to see how someone could be so positive even when he knew this was it. I wish I'd be able to be like that when my time's up... V-V
On a happier note: after the depression weeks I spent the next two weeks at pediatrics, which totally helped to restore my faith in this life. ^-^ And now I'm in the middle of my ICU training, which is also a little depressing... but it's *never* boring. I guess that's good. o.O This was supposed to be the last two-week-period of my internship but I still have to complete the ER training I missed so I still have a week to go after this. So two weeks in total 'til the whole thing is over and I get my final statement and grades. Yikes! *O* Wish me luck! ^-^
About the rest of my summer: Mir and I are going to England at the end of this month and then there's Dragon*Con in Atlanta just before school starts up again. ^-^ That's about it. I go back to work in the mid August so I get to holiday a little before that... Besides, I still don't know where I'll be working! ^O^ I have the position at the hospital pharmacy but if I asked the asylum they would probably take me there like they promised. For work, not as a patient, btw. ^-* And once I get my final statement from this training, I'm thinking of applying for a position as a nurse. Then again, since I still have school left my old job might work best since I get to do half day and have flexible hours -so basically I get to work when I have time. So, I have no idea what I'll end up doing. We'll just have to see about that... ^-*
Oh, I finally gave in and opened an MSN account... ^~^ So, now I can be found on their messenger. If I ever have time or patience to open it. Anyway: benzamin_k@hotmail.com

I'm home alone with Yu. Hmm... maybe I can't say 'home alone' then. English is such a tricky language. >.< Anyhoo... I'm at home and Yu is with me. Well, he's playing with Mir's computer (since he broke his own o.O) so technically he isn't really here. ^O^ I have the day off from work and I have no school either since I had the last exam on Monday. Now I'm just waiting for the results and then I'm free to start my summer holiday. Yay! ^O^ Mir should be home soon... He went shopping with Lenne to celebrate the end of the exams and then to his school to have his text portfolio graded. Mmm... Maybe I should have gone with them. I thought I'd stay home with Yu cuz he's been pretty down again but it seems he is recovering from it with the help of his online friends. That's good too. ^-^
One more week (and the rest of this week) 'til the internship starts. One more week left of work. One more week... ehh... I got nothing. >.< Anyhoo, I'm really looking forward to it. ^-^ I'm spending the first two weeks at the ER, then two weeks at a ward, two weeks at pediatrics and the last two weeks at the ICU. I'm kind of excited! Also totally freaked out. ^O^ Well, will see how it goes... Fingers crossed! ^-^
I don't like hockey but I can't stop watching it (the world cup). Disturbing much? >.<

6:28 am - All Is Well?

So. My internship ended last Saturday, which was kinda sad since I really liked working at the pshyche ward. >.< Anyway, they offered me a job position there for the whole summer but since I have the eight-week internship to do at the hospital, I had to turn them down. They said I'm welcome to ask for a job when I get done with my compulsory stuff. Yay! ^O^
I seem to have all this freetime now and don't know what to do with it. >.< I'd love to spend more time with Mir but he's been obsessing over his finals lately (with his IQ I don't know why >.<) and pulling double shifts at work so am usually vast asleep or already getting ready for school when he gets home (since he works nights). V.V
Yu's in a much better mood again, which is great. He was pretty messed up for a while since he got dumpped few weeks ago. Apparently clinging to Lenne has helped him to get over it... >.< Well, whatever, I'm just glad he's not thinking of hurting himself or anything like that anymore. ^-^
Ana (my older sister) is finally coming to visit us this weekend. She was supposed come already like a month ago but there was some trouble at her work so she couldn't come then. Mir and Yu both seem a little nervous about her coming here... Well, I have to admit, she can be pretty scary. ^O^ Honestly, Ana's the sweetest person ever. You just don't wanna make her angry. >.<
Oh well... better go save Mir from Roswell (I believe he's been watching it since he got home around 2am) so I can get some breakfast. I'm still not allowed to cook. Not even toast. >.<

Woohoo! Last day of my extra courses (nursing)! *does a happy dance* Better not get too carried away though since I still have the internship (of 8 weeks) to do. That starts in the end of May and will thus take most of my summer holiday... V.V That also means I can't work this summer... That sucks since the internship doesn't pay a dime unlike the one I'm doing right now for my main studies... I only have two weeks of that one left anyway. Sad. V.V On the other hand it's a good thing for not having so much to do over the summer since I've been pretty exhausted this spring with school, work, the internship and the nursing studies. I shouldn't push myself so hard but I just can't help myself. You are your own worst enemy, eh?
I'm going to be late from school soon so I better get going. See you when I'm less busy (...about 2020?). >.<

What a fun break... not. >.< I had 8-hour school days plus work afterwards, so no time to relax really... Mir found his depression phase again so he spent most of the week in bed staring at the ceiling and when he did got up, I had to hide all the sharp tools just in case. V.V Well, luckily he's getting better again so maybe this weekend will be a little better. ^-^ At least I'm off for the whole weekend. ^-^
Next week will be real torture since I have school, work and now the nursing classes. V.V Annoying much? Well, I brought this on myself so can't complain. Much. >.<

Weekend! Woohoo! ^O^ And next week is spring break so no school for nine days! *does a happy dance* Only sucky thing is that Mir already had his break this week... V.V But not to worry: he promised to skip a lot of class next week! >.< How sweet, eh? ^O^ Well, don't know much about vacationing anyway since I still have work and I registered to the classes I'm still missing for my nursing degree. So, really, no holiday for me. >.<' I did begged to have both weekends off work so I can at least try to relax and recharge a bit. ^-^ We'll see how that goes... >.<
I'm loneleeee!! V.V Mir left for kendo with Lenne and Yu is at work... Anima's been in Canada with Ava for the whole week since it's Ava's break now but they're coming home tonight. ^-^ Haku is bringing Shin over too later today so I'll get company then. ^O^ But for now... I miss my people! <3

I'm still alive! So, no whining... >.< Spent last weekend in New York with Mirage for my birthday (which was last Monday, thank you all for not remembereing >.<). I came home from school on Friday and he was there waiting for me with our stuff packed and ready to go. It would have been even more awesome if I didn't have to drive there myself... >.< Oh, well, can't be helped since he doesn't have a license. ^O^ Anywho, we had a great time -of which I won't write here because I don't want to label this post "not suitable for kids". >.<
This weekend I have a little work today and tomorrow morning and the rest I'm free to spend however I please. I'm thinking of sleeping a lot. >.< Damn, I'm boring! ^O^

11:15 am - Bitching And Maybe Some Moaning

I was hoping to get a free weekend for a change but instead I pulled two double-shifts. V.V I have no problems with working on weekends or whenever but since the internship started I've been really busy during the week so I wanted to catch up on school work. Plus, I always hate not being able to spend time with Mir. V.V Oh well, that's past already so why bother bitching about it any longer... >.<
I went to Mir's school yesterday after my own classes to wait for him to get off. Mir's classmate Elliot kept me company for the hour and a half I sat in their cafeteria. I now know why Mir is so irritated by that guy. ^O^ He isn't all that bad but after a while you just can't help but feel annoyed by both his voice and his stories. >.< He is nice though. Like a puppy dog. ^O^
It's Valentine's Day tomorrow. Man, I hate all that pink frilly crap they put on display in stores. Who in their right mind wants to own or give someone something as lame as some of those things are? Even more so, who'd want to recieve them? >.< I can understand chocolates and plushies and some other things but there's a limit to everything. All of those frilly-arse knick-knacks should be left to little kiddie- princesses and lolitas (which frankly is the same thing ^O^).
Okay, now that I've had all my bottled up hate for Valentine's gifts off my chest, I can get back to what I was supposed to write. >.< I was going to say that I have no idea what I'm doing tomorrow. *O* I'm not going to work or anything though since I have the day off. Yay! ^-^ Mir said he has something planned so I'm looking forward to it... with a dash of fear. ^O^ Well, knowing Mir, it won't consist of anything frilly so I should be safe. I think I should be more alert for things like handcuffs and chains... >.< Now I won't get that thought out off my head. Ever. ^O^

I've been slacking on updates lately. >.< I always do, sorry about that. Anyway, I started the paid (!) internship I've failed to tell everyone about last Monday. It's at a psychiatric hospital and lasts for three months but if they like me there I might get a full-time job there for this summer. That'd be really great since the pharmacy job doesn't really pay all that well and I can't get a post as a nurse (well, nurses' pays ain't that great either though >.<) since I have four more courses to complete and I just haven't got the time to do them. I hardly see Mir and the kids as it is, I really don't need extra classes to top that. V.V Life is hard...
We (Mir, Lenne, Yu, NaoK!, Ichigo, Joel and I) helped Hide and Shino move last week. They moved Fenway, which is a lot closer to their college. A little further from us though but not too far so we'll manage. >.< Anyway, their new place is really great, especially now that they've unpacked and all. Moving is the theme of the month since Lenne also just moved. Well, she moved back to their (Lenne and Mir's) parents' place to Wellesley (which btw is way too far V.V) for few months while her apartment is being remodeled. ^-^ We are not moving. I don't even want to! Our place is awesome and close enough to both of our school, the hospital and Mir's work place so no need to move anywhere. ^-^
I'm supposed to be in class now so I better get to it. >.< Sayonara!

I had a day off yesterday. Unfortunately everyone else had so much to do I had to spend the whole day alone... But hey, sometimes that's good -even for a social being like me. >.<
I taught myself to play Spicy Marmalade on my synth, watched some random anime, ate pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner and finished my art school application. ^O^
No, I'm not going to quit psyche and take art, I'm just applying for some extra curricular classes there so I can gain credit in art therapy for my studies. ^-*
Tonight, I'm going over to Ichigo's for a party. We have no reason to celebrate, I just wanted cake. >.<
